Bell leads the way in PCMag's ranking of the fastest Internet providers in Canada
Fastest result ever recorded as more Canadians connect to Bell's all-fibre network
MONTRÉAL, June 20, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Bell Canada today announced it has taken the top spot in PCMag's "The Fastest ISPs of 2018: Canada," delivering the highest overall Internet speed index ever recorded in Canada to date by the magazine and scoring more than 30% higher than our nearest competitor.
Atlantic Canada's Bell Aliant also took second place in the speed tests while Manitoba's Bell MTS moved into the top 10 for the first time. PCMag's conclusions were based on nearly 12,000 tests of Canadian Internet service providers large and small between September 2017 and June 2018.

At more than 240,000 total kilometres, Bell's fibre connections are Canada's most extensive by far, linking homes and business throughout the Atlantic provinces, Québec, Ontario and Manitoba.
With super-fast speeds and low latency, Bell's fibre network significantly enhances the video streaming and gaming experience and enables high-bandwidth cloud computing and other business applications. Fibre connections also drive innovations like Bell's Whole Home Wi-Fi service, which brings the smartest and fastest Internet access to every room of the home, and the latest advances in television with Fibe TV and Alt TV.
Bell all-fibre cities now include St. John's, Gander, Summerside, Charlottetown, Halifax, Sydney, Moncton and Fredericton in Atlantic Canada, Québec City, Trois-Rivières, Saint-Jérôme and Gatineau in Québec, Cornwall, Kingston, Toronto, North Bay and Sudbury in Ontario, and Steinbach and The Pas in Manitoba, with more locations to be announced in 2018.
